Main page > Stories that really happened – Artistic Jewelry Exhibition by Marcin Tymiński

“The truth is, it’s hard to put feelings, impressions, and experiences into words… Sometimes I don’t want to talk about them because they are too personal, intimate, simply mine. The pieces that leave my studio express joy, love, happiness, sadness, longing, and are about loss or death. You could say it’s a kaleidoscope of life.
The jewelry I create serves as a form of expression; it’s a language I chose over 30 years ago from among many other art forms I’ve encountered. It’s my symbolic code through which I tell stories. These small sculptural forms allow one to experience something, process something, replace speaking or writing. I also believe that this way I enable viewers to fill the space in their own way, encouraging them to apply their personal filter. I want everyone to have a chance for interpretation and dialogue, as well as reflections that evolve over time.”
Marcin Tymiński was born in 1972 in Warsaw. He has been designing and creating jewelry for 30 years. He studied in the Jewelry Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź under Professor Andrzej Szadkowski. He is a co-founder (2001) and member of Group 6, and since 2010 serves as the president of the Association of Jewelry Designers, which gathers the largest group of jewelry artists in Europe.
Tymiński’s work belongs to the contemporary art movement – authorial modern jewelry. During his career, he has achieved numerous accolades both in Poland and internationally. He is one of the most awarded jewelry artists in Poland, winning major competitions multiple times. He twice received the Grand Prize at the international Amberif Design Award in Gdańsk (2017, 2020), and has been recognized in Mercurius Gedanensis and Prezentacje competitions. In 2010, he won the “Sherif de Mode” competition at BIJORHCA ECLAT DE MODE in Paris, and also took first place in Editor’s Choice at the International Jewellery London fair the same year. Additionally, he has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. His works are displayed in prestigious museums and galleries worldwide, including New York, Munich, Barcelona, London, Paris, and Venice.
His artistic projects are also exceptional globally due to the materials he uses – combining polymers with amber, diamonds, gold, and silver. Over the years, he developed his own polymer formula. Long-term experiments resulted in an extremely durable yet highly malleable material, allowing for sculptural techniques and advanced technology in his creations.
We warmly invite you to the exhibition opening on December 5 at 6:00 PM at the Contemporary Jewelry Gallery in Centrum Praskie Koneser, Warsaw, Plac Konesera 8.
The exhibition will then be open for visitors from December 6 to 19, daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
