Open-air theatre – “Open Relationship”

The outdoor performances of OCH-TEATR and TEATR POLONIA, run by the Foundation for Culture of Krystyna Janda, are returning to Praga as part of LATA KONESERA 2026! It is yet another time we will host these wonderful artists on the stage at Koneser Square.

FARCE. COMMEDIA DELL’ARTE. A text about marriage written by… a married couple, in the most literal sense: Dario Fo, winner of the 1997 Nobel Prize in Literature, created “Open Relationship” together with his wife Franca Rame. It was written “for the street”, for so-called street theatre. Its core is mockery and play with the institution of marriage, juggling stereotypes related to the nature of women and men. The titular “modern” open relationship is a relationship of partners who are free – meaning unfaithful to each other.

It must be said clearly: an open relationship has its drawbacks! The main rule is: if an open relationship between two people is to function, it can only be open on one side – the man’s side! Because if both sides are open, a draft is created!
