Main page > Lullaby: Tribute to Krzysztof Komeda

We invite you to a unique jazz concert dedicated to the music of Krzysztof Komeda!
“Tribute to Krzysztof Komeda” is an exceptional musical homage to one of the most important figures in Polish and European film music and jazz. The concert evokes the atmosphere of the 1960s, when Komeda’s distinctive aesthetic—full of lyricism and subtle tension—set new directions in film scoring. The artists involved in the project reach for his most recognizable compositions, including music from Roman Polański’s films, while reinterpreting them through a modern sensibility.
The program features both intimate miniatures and more extended forms, where the spatial quality of Komeda’s sound becomes especially prominent. Carefully crafted arrangements highlight the poetic aura of his music, balancing delicate melancholy with expressive dramatic intensity.
“Tribute to Krzysztof Komeda” is an evening designed for audiences who appreciate refined sound, outstanding musicianship, and concerts in which tradition and contemporary expression blend in a natural and evocative way. It is a meeting with music that—despite the passage of time—continues to move, inspire, and remain one of the most original voices in the history of Polish jazz.
