Main page > In Silver and in Color – Exhibition of Artistic Jewellery by Andrzej Jacyszyn

We warmly invite you to a new exhibition at the Contemporary Jewellery Gallery, featuring artistic jewellery by Andrzej Jacyszyn, who works with a wide range of techniques and materials. His creations prominently include natural stones and Baltic amber. The jewellery he designs is eclectic and enhanced by colour.
Andrzej Jacyszyn is a visual artist, graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from the poster studio of Prof. Henryk Tomaszewski, designer and creator of unique jewellery.
“…The pursuit of independent work combined with the need to verify my practice through direct contact with the audience led me to designing and creating unique artistic jewellery. I presented my works at exhibitions in Düsseldorf (1983), Sydney (1986), and Vienna (1988). Alongside functional design, I also worked in painting and drawing. I was involved in press illustration, which I showed in group exhibitions. In 1996, I began working as a graphic designer at ‘Rzeczpospolita’, where I also published my drawings. From 2007 to 2009, I served as deputy art director at ‘Dziennik’ (Axel Springer). In 2009, I returned to designing and creating unique jewellery. I am inspired by amber and search for my own way of presenting this Polish stone. Using black resin for this purpose is my original idea. Minimalist form and a black-and-white colour palette are another direction of my creative interests.”
The exhibition opening will take place on WEDNESDAY, June 3 at 6:00 PM.
