This exhibition explores an alternate reality, where what seems to be depicted doesn’t actually exist, yet is equipped with very real and even omnipresent attributes. The tangible material and strong geometric structures pull these works out of the purely abstract realm in which Exer has previously operated.
The show will feature mostly new paintings created under this conceptual theme, along with select older pieces that fit the narrative, and even some three-dimensional objects expanding beyond traditional painting.
