SPOTKANIE – Contemporary Jewelry Exhibition
Two techniques, two perspectives, two worlds united by passion. This is the present-day return of giants. “Tears of Ancient Forests and Kings of Ancient Worlds” – amber and dinosaurs – are presented through the eyes of contemporary artists Marta Włodarska and Monika Czuba. Prehistory captured in jewelry. The beauty of nature, the passage of time, fascination with dinosaurs, and the Baltic gold. A meeting from millions of years ago that we warmly invite you to.
Marta Włodarska – an artist and designer who has explored the timeless beauty of Baltic amber for over 15 years. In her works, she combines natural amber with aged wood, creating jewelry rooted in nature and telling stories of light, time, and matter. Her creations include not only jewelry but also interactive objects, such as the Amberoscope, and sculptural forms made using the Amberwood technique. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, working first in Poland and then for eight years in Germany, where she developed her unique method of combining amber with wood and ran her own gallery. Her works have been showcased at numerous exhibitions and fairs in Poland and abroad (Denmark, Germany, Italy, Dubai, Hong Kong, China). For six years, she appeared in the documentary series Baltic Gold (History TV), presenting her original artistic and technical amber projects.
Monika Czuba – a jewelry designer, painter, and interior designer. She graduated from the Antidotum Jewelry Design School and the Collage Post-secondary Art School in Warsaw. She is a member of the visual arts group Młyn and the Association of Goldsmithing Form Creators (STFZ). She has participated in group and solo exhibitions, including at Galeria Pi, Galeria Lescer, Polswiss Art Auction House Gallery (2015), Artistar Jewels during Milano Jewelry Week 2023, Romanian Jewelry Week 2024, and the STFZ Broken exhibition at the Museum of Amber in Gdańsk. She runs her own studio in Piaseczno, near Warsaw. Her long-standing passion for jewelry fuels her artistic spirit. Her works tell fairy-tale-like stories expressed through form and contrasting colors.
