We warmly invite you to the Contemporary Jewelry Gallery for “A Week with the Artist – The Magic of Amber”, featuring the jewelry of Dorota Cenecka and Katarzyna Czajkowska, as well as the STFZ Presentation 2024 competition exhibition titled “MODERATION”.
Throughout the week, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists, explore the exhibition, participate in free amber polishing workshops, and purchase unique jewelry pieces.
Dorota Cenecka is a renowned jewelry designer from Gdańsk, a master goldsmith and amber artisan. For over 30 years, she has been designing and creating jewelry — initially for artistic workshops in Gdańsk, and since 2013 under her own brand, Dorota Cenecka Gin Atelier. She masterfully combines Baltic amber with silver and gemstones. Her work has been showcased in over 100 solo and group exhibitions both in Poland and abroad, including China, Milan, Dubai, Paris, and Hong Kong.
Katarzyna Czajkowska – a graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, has been creating jewelry from real flowers under the brand From Nature With Love since 2020. She developed her own method of combining plants with Baltic amber, silver, and gemstones. She has participated in several collective exhibitions organized by the Polish Association of Jewelry Designers, as well as international artistic jewelry exhibitions in Milan, China, and Bucharest.
Currently, the works of both artists are featured in the Redefinitions 2.0 exhibition at the Amber Museum in Gdańsk. What unites them? A love for amber, inspiration from nature, and… constant dedication to their craft. You can see the results of their work live at the Contemporary Jewelry Gallery.
Additionally, the STFZ Presentation 2024 competition exhibition titled “Moderation” will be on display for the final time. The Presentations are an annual artistic jewelry competition organized by STFZ since 2001, presenting artists’ visions in jewelry form on a given theme.
