We warmly invite you to the Contemporary Jewelry Gallery for “A Week with the Artist – EMOTIONS”, starting on 6/12, featuring the jewelry of Marcin Tymiński and Dorota Cenecka, as well as an exhibition of artistic jewelry by Marcin Tymiński titled “Stories That Really Happened.”

Throughout the week, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists, explore the exhibition, purchase unique jewelry pieces, or participate in free amber polishing workshops.

Marcin Tymiński was born in 1972 in Warsaw and has been designing and creating jewelry for 30 years. He studied in the Jewelry Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź under Professor Andrzej Szadkowski. He is a co-founder (2001) and member of Group 6, and since 2010 has served as president of the Association of Jewelry Designers (STFZ), which brings together the largest group of jewelry artists in Europe. Marcin Tymiński’s work belongs to the contemporary art movement, focusing on modern, original jewelry. Throughout his career, he has achieved recognition both nationally and internationally. He is one of the most decorated jewelry artists in Poland, winning top prizes at prestigious competitions. Notably, he won the Amberif Design Award in Gdańsk twice (2017 and 2020), multiple awards and distinctions in Mercurius Gedanensis and STFZ Presentations, and in 2010, he won the Sherif de Mode, BIJORHCA ECLAT DE MODE in Paris, as well as Editor’s Choice at International Jewellery London. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad, with works displayed in prestigious museums and galleries in New York, Munich, Barcelona, London, Paris, and Venice. His projects are unique on a global scale due to his innovative use of materials — combining polymers with amber, diamonds, gold, and silver. Over the years, he has developed his own polymer formula, resulting in a durable yet highly malleable material, allowing for sculptural techniques and technology.

Dorota Cenecka is a jewelry designer from Gdańsk, a master goldsmith and amber artisan. For over 30 years, she has designed and created jewelry — initially for artistic workshops in Gdańsk, and since 2013 under her own brand DOROTA CENECKA GIN ATELIER. Since 2015, her work has been presented at fashion shows worldwide, including in China, Hong Kong, Paris, Gdańsk, Milan Fashion Week, Expo Milan, and Expo Dubai. Her jewelry combines traditional jewelry techniques with 3D printing, pairing silver and gold with Baltic amber and gemstones. She has participated in over 100 solo and group exhibitions and has received numerous awards, including recognition from the Polish Minister of Economy for the best product at the International Jewelry and Watch Fairs Złoto Srebro Czas (2015) and at the Ambermart International Amber Fair (2013).
In 2023, during the opening of a jubilee exhibition in Gdańsk, she was awarded:

• Medal of the President of Gdańsk for promoting the city as a world capital of amber
• Medal of Meritorious People of the Sea from the Union of Coastal Cities and Municipalities
• Gold Badge of the Chamber of Crafts “Craftsmanship for Merit” from the Pomeranian Chamber of Crafts

Previously a board member of the International Amber Association, she now serves on the board of the Association of Jewelry Designers (STFZ).
