The Exhibition: 1989 – The City of Freedom and Hope

14.12. – 29.12.2019 r.
The Tape-Art Exhibition “ROK 1989 – The City of Freedom and Hope”.
We invite you to watch the works created by students of Warsaw schools. The works in a creative way interpret important events of 1989: Round Table Talks, re-registration of NSZZ “Solidarność”, first partially free elections after World War II and return of the emblem with the crowned eagle. The pupils used the Tape-Art technique, i.e. they created paintings with the use of various coloured adhesive tapes. Their works have been placed on 9 cubes, which form a spatial installation – The City of Freedom and Hope.

The works were created as part of a project co-financed by the Warsaw City Hall entitled ROK 1989. The account of its progress can be viewed on the project’s Facebook profile: https://www.facebook.com/ROK-1989-113492953368641/

Opening of the exhibition on 14th December at 2 p.m.
