“Power of Meetings!” Wyborowa with Pascal Brodnicki and Maciej Starosolski

Pascal Brodnicki and Maciej Starosolski have already travelled thousands of kilometres with the educational project “The Power of Meetings”, within the framework of which they promoted Polish hospitality and the tradition of feasting together at the table. The time has come for the grand finale, which will take place on 15 June at the Koneser Prague Centre in Warsaw. As part of the all-day meeting, workshops and lectures will be held,
and all of this will end with a meeting at the table. Admission is free of charge, and persons, only adults, interested in participating can submit applications via mocspotkan.pl/registration or on Facebook.

Poles are known for their hospitality all over the world. Despite this, we have forgotten about it a little bit in an increasingly faster, digitalized world. Often we are unable to break away from the world of technology and have fun as we used to, although research confirms that we need it very much. 74 percent of us consider feasting with friends or family as moments of true happiness. Pascal Brodnicki and Maciej Starosolski decided to discover the magic of feasting anew and invited the inhabitants of Poznan, Wroclaw, Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow and Lodz to the common table. The nationwide summary will be the grand finale at the Connoisseur Centre in Prague, combined with the first birthday of the Museum of Polish Vodka located there.
– Specially for the “Power of Meetings” action, a table has been created at which over 250 people can sit.

In 6 Polish cities it was used by 1200 people. The guests invited by us could feel like at a meeting with friends, who tasted dishes prepared by Pascal Brodnicki and combined them with a specially selected drink, could talk about the traditions related to
with hospitality. – says Maciej Starosolski, Global Polish Vodka Ambassador. For me the most valuable part of the meetings were the conversations continued long after our meeting. Now this magical table will come to Warsaw’s Praga district, where on Saturday, June 15 the big final of the action will take place!

The grand finale of the “Power of Meetings” project at the Koneser Center in Prague will be full of attractions. A series of workshops, which will take place in the Bottling Shop, will begin with a lecture on herbs in cocktails, during which the participants will try to match their favourite herbal bouquet with Polish vodka. The next one will be devoted to discovering the secrets of silage and making your own. It won’t hurt to stop for a while and try all kinds of lard, pastes and humus.

Adam Jarczyński will tell you about how to taste vodka with class and about the intricacies of feast etiquette. There will also be some knowledge about how to prepare delicious cocktails yourself. Everything will be crowned with a tincture about nalewkas.

For those hungry for knowledge there is also a series of inspiring lectures. Janusz Owsiany, a well-known varsavianist, will talk about Prague. Mirosław Nizio, the architect of the exhibition at the Polish Vodka Museum, will share his thoughts on whether the history of vodka can be inspiring for a designer. Dorota Dias-Lewandowska will present Polish hospitality in a historical perspective. Magdalena Tomaszewska-Bolałek will introduce the participants to the secrets of the cuisine of the interwar period. Finally, Maciej Starosolski and Łukasz Karmowski, the owner of the family distillery, will talk about the exceptional quality of Polish vodka, valued all over the world, as well as its production.

The day will end at 8:30 p.m. with a great evening feast with Pascal Brodnicki and Maciej Starosolski. In the atmosphere of a story about the phenomenon of Polish hospitality, you will be able to taste our national drink and specialties prepared by Pascal especially for this occasion.
