Warsaw Summer Jazz Days is Warsaw’s largest jazz festival, organized since 1992 at the beginning of July. Over the years, its undisputed position on the world jazz music market has been developed. Thanks to which Warsaw is associated as a bold field for this genre, and the festival itself quickly became a long-awaited event and a celebration of modern jazz. The Warsaw Summer Jazz Days featured the greatest jazz stars, such as: Nina Simone, Brad Mehldau, John Zorn, Joe Zawinul, Marcus Miller, Pharoah Sanders, Vernon Reid, John McLaughlin, Chick Corea, Steps Ahead, Joe Pass, Steve Coleman, Modern Jazz Quartet, Al Jarreau, Al Di Meola, Herbie Hancock, Bela Fleck, Dave Holland, Candy Dulfer, Pat Metheny, Bill Laswell, Bobby McFerrin, Branford Marsalis, Wayne Shorter, Kamasi Washington, and others. The assumption of presenting what is new in art is an obligation if not an obligation of a significant festival. Participants of such a feast can for a few days commune with the avant-garde, that is, with what breaks stereotypes and clichés, they can learn about the face of contemporary jazz, so that being in every place on earth they can discuss jazz and its new trends.
